I recently came across a newspaper interview I gave years ago for a local paper. After forty-five minutes of questions and answers on the issue of life as a gift of God which should be respected from the moment of conception, I was eager to see the unbiased report on Aurora's “Life-Chain.” I told the reporter, “The only diffference between the 'blobs of conception material' which pro-abortion forces argue should be aborted and the rest of us is that we were allowed to grow and develop. So, in that case, we are all just blobs out here, only our moms chose to give us life.” In an eye-opening bit of editing, I read: “Pastor John Fritz says, 'We're all just a blob out here.”
Whether someone is editing the pope's comments or the Bible, rest assured that they have an agenda and ask for the context, including what else may be lying on the editing room floor. In the case of God's Word that can make an eternal difference!
