Whether it's a new urban legend or sour grapes, the allegation that the Seattle Seahawks had cracked the Manning code and understood each and every play called by Denver's offense could explain why a really good defense played with mythic dominance. It's as if they were reading out of Denver's playbook.
“With might of our's can naught be done, soon were our loss effected,” we sing in the classic hymn “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.” We have all had days where we seem to have been demolished by Satan as we try to stand in our own strength. Satan has mastered the human playbook for centuries, knows our fallen human nature, and is as diabolical as his name in Greek. A bit of alcohol, prescription or recreational drugs, gluttony, gossip, voyeurism, whatever your weakness, whatever your mortal defenses, the enemy knows.
Our Champion, Jesus Christ, knows Satan's weakness and went to the cross and the grave and rose in victory to share His Easter Victory over sin and death and hell with all who trust in Him! Revel in God's grace and goodness: His life-giving washing of regeneration and renewal, the spoken and written Gospel, and the real body and blood of our real Savior given and shed for you for the forgiveness of all your sins.
