Today's Chicago Tribune contained an article on one way to “high-ten” Bible study attendance in Colorado: marijuana-laced treats and cigarets have led to unique insights and perspectives on God's Word.
I'm the first to admit that our Bible study attendance could use a boost, but this is clearly not the way. What will the devil, the world and our sinful nature think up next?
With Lent fast approaching, let's give up on worldly wisdom and get back into God's Word, clear-headed, focused and appreciative of all God has done to create, save, and sanctify us through Word and Sacrament (not gateway drugs and munchies).
