Each of us are given 24 hours in a day and 365 1/4 days in a year (on average, without getting stuck on leap seconds and such) as opportunities to love the Lord our God with all our heart and to love our neighbors as ourselves. With the passing of Nelson Mandela we can appreciate the opportunities he seized upon to help bring racial reconciliation to his nation and world.
We may not be blessed with 95 years on this earth, but however long we do have, let us grasp the opportunities God gives us to heal our broken land, undo the work of the devil, and improve our world. Whether national news considers our legacy a rich one or not, let us leave the world a better place, a lovelier place, a more noble and beautiful place, for our having had the opportunity to serve our Savior here!
I am a member of the Spiritual Green Connection of Fox Valley. We are an interfaith environmental team promoting creation care and connecting congregations to each other so that we can grow stronger in our awareness, knowledge, and dedication to preserving our planet. <#semi#br />#semi#<#semi#br />#semi#We are reaching out to you to see if we can support your congregation in anyway. Do you currently have an environmental, or “Green Team?” Do you know of any individuals who might be interested in a group like ours? We would love to connect with them. Please feel free to forward this email to them, or have them contact me.<#semi#br />#semi#<#semi#br />#semi#
