Father's Day is coming up fast and we have the opportunity to thank our dads for the glimpses they have given us of our Heavenly Father's love, kindness, faithfulness, mercy, and compassion. New studies have indicated that Dad's spending time rough-housing with their children is actually good for them (duh?). Quality time in sufficient quantity can make quite an impression on our children. Do spend time enojying their company and shaping their personalities and marvelling as they grow and develop.
While thinking of all the lessons you want to pass on to your children, be sure that your words and actions pass on the absolute necessity of knowing and trusting in their Heavenly Father as Christ Jesus draws you to Him and the Holy Spirit sanctifies your relationship. You wouldn't want your children to have the best curveball or GPA or job or sense of humor in hell. Also, keep all the children who never had the benefit of godly parents in your thoughts and prayers and do what you can to help menotr them in the one true faith, as well.
