In response to a rumor that a Christian somewhere may have torn part of a Koran/Quran, adherents of the self-described “religion of peace” burned 59 churches in Ethiopia and a number of Christian homes, as well. In his classic tone of understatement, my son said, “Sounds like a bit of an overreaction,” when he heard the news.
     Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world whose lives and livelihoods are literally on the chopping block because of their faith. Please pray for them to remain faithful to their Savior and do what you can to help support them. Please also pray for the conversion of Moslems at the very least to non-violence and at best to faith in Christ worked by the Holy Spirit peacefully through Word and Sacrament.
