Deaf Ministry

Hope Lutheran Church has served the deaf and hearing impaired community for over 25 years.  We try to share God’s love in Christ in sign language.  Our synod has been working with deaf people for over 100 years.

Please see www.deafjesus.org and www.silentword.org for more information.

Ignite the Fire
Almost 30 deaf people and their pastors from Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri came to the “Ignite the Fire” Ablaze rally September 24, 2006. Sign-language interpreters were provided by Living Word for the Deaf.  98% of deaf people in this country are unchurched!
